Platelet Rich Plasma Facial
PRP Platelet Rich Plasma the next big thing!
PRP is an exciting new procedure that was originally used to treat burns and injuries, but now its being used in aesthetic skin care! Plasma is derived from your very own blood. It’s isolated from white and red blood cells with a centrifuge so it can be used with microneedling. The plasma contains growth factors and bio-active enzymes used for cell repair and healing.
It helps to remodel old deformed collagen found in wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. It also helps to strengthen overall skin health.
How does PRP work for Skin Care?
Platelet Rich Plasma is used in conjunction with microneedling to improve results because it is rich in growth factors attracting stem cells to the area. Growth factors are important for new cell generation and healthy cellular function. This promotes healthy skin.
PRP enters the skin through the micro openings created with microneedling. This is where the magic starts to happen. PRP used alone on top of the skin has no benefit. Its only when used with microneedling, which creates the openings so the platelets can enter.
Microneedling produces increased vascular activity, cell turnover and collagen stimulation. Coupled with microneedling, platelet rich plasma promotes healthier and better results.
Microneedling with PRP is performed two to three weeks apart and we recommend a series of 4 treatments. This has an added effect in collagen production because it builds more collagen each time. Results are seen after 6 to 12 weeks. We recommend a treatment once or twice a year to maintain optimal skin health.
PRP not only helps with skin care, it’s also very effective for hair growth! Check out We Grow Hair for before and after photos to see how PRP is used for hair loss. The results are truly amazing!
